Job summary

Cherokee Park Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and resident dining in a long-term care setting. The role includes assisting the Chef Supervisor, serving meals, and helping with daily cleaning and upkeep of dining areas.

The position requires working every other weekend and adherence to portion control and sanitary standards. The facility emphasizes growth, benefits, and staff appreciation in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef Supervisor with daily meal preparation in accordance with menus and sanitary standards.
• Assist in serving meals timely and per established portion control procedures.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, and related areas as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus as needed and obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas and assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning duties to keep utensils and areas ready for service.

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist the Chef Supervisor with the daily preparation of resident meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and sanitary standards.

Dietary Aide Job Requirements:

• Must work every other weekend.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Serve food in dining room as instructed.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed.
• Other dietary functions as necessary.
