Job summary

The Beach Post-Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team. This on-call opening supports our 24-hour skilled nursing facility with a focus on compassionate care and timely meal service.

The ideal candidate provides reliable dietary assistance, food tray delivery, and cleanliness in line with established policies. We offer team support and a collaborative work environment to help staff care for residents effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to display compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all dietary functions as directed by the Dietary Supervisor or leadership.
• Aid in meal preparation following planned menus and schedules.
• Perform daily cleaning and mopping per policies and procedures.
• Handle waste management in a compliant, timely manner.
• Deliver food carts, trays, and nourishments as assigned.
• Dishwashing and utensil prep to ensure next meal readiness.
• Support nourishment preparation and delivery as instructed.

Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting our staff in serving our patients recover from serious illnesses and rehabilitation services. We are excited to be on the search for a Dietary Aide to join our team! The ideal candidate is available for on-call hours.

Pay Range:

• $17.75/hour

Overview of the Position:

• The Dietary Aide provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed by the Dietary Supervisor or other leadership personnel.
• Assist in preparing meals in accordance with planned menus on a timely basis.
• Perform timely daily or scheduled cleaning and mopping duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform consistent, compliant waste management.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures in a timely fashion. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for the next meal.
• Prepare, label and deliver nourishments, etc., as instructed.
