Job summary

Cura Health is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. You’ll help provide residents with nutritious meals and support the daily operations of our dietary department.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, tray delivery, following diet orders, maintaining sanitary dining areas, and delivering friendly, respectful service to residents. Some duties may include other tasks as assigned to ensure quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices is preferred.
• Dependability and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift trays or supplies as needed.

• Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks to residents.

• Ensure residents receive correct meals, beverages, and portion sizes.
• Assist with dining room setup and cleanup before and after meals.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Communicate resident dietary concerns or meal preferences to appropriate staff.
• Provide friendly, respectful, and timely service to residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous food service, dietary, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow resident diet orders, menus, and food service instructions.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
• Ability to provide friendly and respectful service to residents.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry food trays, supplies, and equipment.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Must complete required background checks, health screenings, orientation, and facility training.
