Job summary

Hickory Treatment Centers is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for the Evening Shift to assist with prepping, serving, and cleanup of client meals and to help maintain a clean, organized kitchen throughout the shift.

Under the supervision of the Dietary Manager, you will support cooks in preparing healthy meals, follow nutrition and sanitation standards, and contribute to delivering high-quality care to our clients.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen knowledge required.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate admissions and facility needs.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and provide insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow the established menu by preparing and serving all food and beverages.
• Prepare food items and share cooking duties with other workers.
• Serve food for each special diet per physician order and in accordance with established standards.
• Wash dishes and clean work areas, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
• Participate in cleaning and deep cleaning as instructed.
• Assist with food inventory and other assigned duties.
• Report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to the Dietary Manager immediately.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients.

About the Role

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with prepping, serving, and cleanup of client meals. As well as the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Under the immediate supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide assists the Cooks in preparing/serving client’s healthy meals to promote improved health and well’being of all clients.
