Job summary

Hickory Treatment Centers in Albion, IN is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with preparing, serving, and cleaning up client meals under the supervision of the Dietary Manager.

Responsibilities include following the menu, aiding cooks, and ensuring safety and sanitation in the kitchen while maintaining professional conduct with staff and clients. CDL not required, but valid driver's license and reliable transportation are needed for shifts.

Qualifications

• Follow nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate client admissions, census and needs of the facility.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation.

• Follow the established menu by preparing and serving all food and beverages.
• Prepare food items and share cooking duties with other workers.
• Serve food for each special diet per physician order and in accordance with established standards.
• Wash dishes and clean work areas, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
• Participate in cleaning and deep cleaning as instructed.
• Assist with food inventory and other assigned duties.
• Report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to the Dietary Manager immediately.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients.

About the Role

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with prepping, serving, and cleanup of client meals, as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Under the immediate supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide assists the Cooks in preparing/serving client’s healthy meals to promote improved health and well‑being of all clients.
