Job summary

Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking Dietary Aides to support a 446-bed long term care facility in Lancaster, PA. This role offers both part-time and full-time options with shifts from 6:30am-2:30pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm, with holiday and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities include light food preparation, ensuring prescribed therapeutic diets are followed, maintaining organization, and collaborating with the dietary supervisor and dietitian to provide balanced meals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Past experience preferred, but we will train the right people!
• Knowledge of basic principles of foods and nutrition, food sanitation and service
• Familiar with large scale purchase and preparation of food
• Must be well groomed and willing to wear hair covering

• Ensure that all therapeutic diets are prepared and served as prescribed on resident's written slip
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a demanding healthcare environment
• Works in conjunction with the dietary supervisor and dietitian to provide a well-balanced meal for the patients
• Follow the Health department rules and regulations on food preparation.
• Sanitation of the department will be maintained in accordance with Federal, State, County and City regulations
