Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your role is to perform various tasks related to the preparation, service, and clean-up of meals for residents and staff, in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, regulations, and Solaris Healthcare policies.

Job Functions

• Assist the Cook as directed by the Food Service Director
• Transport food to and from work stations, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and dining areas
• Prepare and label nourishments and deliver to resident areas
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guides
• Use proper handwashing techniques
• Complete assigned work tasks
• Maintain sanitation standards
• Participate in meal service and ensure food safety
• Perform administrative duties as required

Education

Ability to understand directions; reading skills are desirable.

Experience

Not required but preferred.
