Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks related to the preparation, service, and cleanup for meals served to residents and staff, in accordance with current standards and Solaris Healthcare policies.

Job Functions

• Assist the Cook as directed by the Food Service Director
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and dining rooms
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures and deliver to resident areas
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods into dishes
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guides
• Use proper handwashing techniques
• Complete work assignments efficiently

Education & Experience

Ability to understand directions; reading skills are desirable. Experience is not required but preferred.
