Description

Primary Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed, the dining hall and dishes are cleaned.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Set up and pass trays for meal service
• Stock snack cart
• Bussing of tables and trays
• Clean the kitchen work area
• Dishwashing
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CDM or Executive Director

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred
