Job summary

The Dietary Aide role at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is a friendly, patient-focused position within the hospital’s dietary team. You will assist patients with menu selections and deliver meals promptly, ensuring accuracy and patient satisfaction.

We offer full-time and part-time options, with day/evening/night shifts based on the facility’s needs. A background check and drug screen are required to start, with opportunities for growth within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
