Job summary

South Sound Behavioral Hospital is seeking a per diem Dietary Aide in Lacey, WA. You will assist with serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to patients and staff, following dietary guidelines, and ensuring safe food temperatures and cleanliness.

Qualifications include a minimum of two years in food preparation, knowledge of modified diets, and sanitation training with a food handler permit. Prior kitchen supervision experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of food preparation experience.
• Basic knowledge of modified diets.
• Training in food service sanitation and possession of a food handler permit as required.
• Experience using industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Some prior kitchen supervisory experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff.
• Follow menus/recipes provided by Dietetic staff.
• Prepare meals for modified diets in consultation with a Dietician.
• Prepare meals in a timely manner according to posted meal times.
• Maintain clean dining and work areas and ensure proper food temps.
• Document temps for refrigeration and dish machines; date/label items.
