Job summary

Huntsville Rehabilitation and Wellness in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Dietary Aide to support mealtime services for residents. You will prepare and serve meals, assist with tray setup, and help maintain a clean kitchen while following diet orders.

No healthcare experience required; we train the right person. Reliable attendance and ability to lift and stand are important. This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities to grow within the dietary team and collaborate with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe or food handler certification a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages according to menus and residents’ diet orders.
• Set up trays and dining areas, assist with meal service in the dining room and on the units.
• Follow special diets, textures, and fluid consistencies exactly as ordered.
• Wash dishes, pots, and utensils, and keep work areas, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitized.
• Receive, store, label, and date food and supplies properly.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Work as part of the dietary team and communicate with nursing staff about resident needs.

Shifts: 5a-1:30p and 12p-8:30p | Status: Full-time

You’ll prepare and serve meals, keep our kitchen clean and safe, and get to know the residents you serve. We’re looking for dependable, friendly team members who take pride in their work and enjoy helping others. No healthcare experience required.
