Hickory Village is seeking a motivated Dietary Aide to assist in preparing, portioning, and serving nutritious meals to residents. You will help maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow safety protocols, and support the dietary team to deliver a positive dining experience.

This role emphasizes compassion for the elderly, strong teamwork, and customer service. Prior food service experience is a plus, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Resident Support: Assist with meal setup, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols and proper storage/handling.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving, storing, and reporting shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Resident Engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents’ preferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
