Job summary

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is seeking a Part Time & Per Diem Dietary Aide to join our compassionate team. The role focuses on reheating and serving food trays to patient units, operating the tray line, and assisting in dining room service and related cleaning tasks within the Dietary Department.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, good English communication skills, and may have prior food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Previous food service aide experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the preparation of special meals and events, including pot washing and restocking.
• Handle food and equipment responsibly according to sanitation policies and procedures
• Skillfully deliver and collect meal trays with precision and attention to detail.
• Provide an enhanced dining service, serving meals in dining rooms and preparing and delivering snacks as directed.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to sanitary regulations and uphold our established policies and procedures in food preparation.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide will be responsible for essential duties including the reheating and serving of food trays to the patient units; working tray line; serving employees and patients in the dining room, and other general cleaning tasks within the Dietary Department.

Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide
