Hickory Falls is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Dietary Aide supports meal preparation and service while helping ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean, safe, and respectful environment.

You will assist with preparing meals, follow diets and safety procedures, maintain dining areas, and communicate resident needs to staff. This role offers steady hours in a patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, portioning, plating, and serving meals and snacks.
• Follow residents’ prescribed diets, food preferences, and allergy precautions.
• Prepare dining areas and assist with meal service.
• Deliver meals and trays to residents as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment.
• Follow food safety, infection-control, and sanitation procedures.
• Properly store and label food according to facility policies.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
• Communicate resident concerns or changes in eating habits to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous, respectful service to residents, families, and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or supervisor.
