Job summary

HHS is seeking friendly, compassionate team players to join the culinary/dietary team at Kindred Hospital South Florida - Ft. Lauderdale. As part of the dietary team, you will assist patients with menu selection and deliver meals promptly, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes full-time and part-time shifts across day, evening and night hours. A background check and healthcare environment experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
