Englewood Health and Rehab is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in Englewood, OH. The role involves assisting in all food functions, following established policies, and supporting the Dietitian and Food Services Director.

You will help deliver meals, prepare snacks, and ensure proper food service and sanitation practices. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all food functions and follow established food policies and procedures.

• Deliver and service food trays to designated areas and clean kitchen per protocols.
• Prepare and deliver snacks and meals, ensuring proper portion control.
• Keep work areas clean, wash and sanitize utensils and dishes, and maintain safe environments.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• The dietary aide works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
• Performs other duties, as assigned. Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• The dietary aide assists with the service and delivery of food trays to designated areas, cleaning of the kitchen per established protocols, and proper washing and cleaning of food utensils and dishes.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
• Serves meals in accordance to established portion control procedures.
• Serves meals that are appetizing and palatable in appearance. Serves meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties as assigned to include work tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers in accordance to established policies and procedures.
• Sweep and mops floors as directed.
• Washes and cleans utensils, dishes and cooking items according to established policies and procedures.
• Carries out garbage and keeps the work area clean, dry and free of hazards.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Collects and distributes menus as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.
