Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma in Iowa is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. This part-time role features every-other weekend and weekday shifts, helping residents with their meals and ensuring dietary needs are met.

You will help maintain food safety by recording temperatures and keeping the kitchen and equipment clean and sanitized. A 10th grade education is required; prior skilled nursing foodservice experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable, but the employer will invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meals and ensure they receive the appropriate items for each meal according to dietary needs.
• Record temperatures to ensure food safety.
• Keep kitchen and dietary equipment clean and sanitized.

As a Dietary Aide you will assist residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by ensuring residents receive the appropriate items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and ensuring the kitchen and dietary equipment is clean and sanitized. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.
