Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma in Elma, IA is seeking a part-time Cook for day shift (5a–1p) with every-other weekend. You will prepare meals for residents according to dietary needs and recipes, ensuring high-quality food and safety standards.

The job is on-site in a supportive skilled-nursing environment. The role offers opportunities for growth within the team, with a preference for prior SNF foodservice experience and a minimum 10th-grade education.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
