Job summary

Castro County Nursing & Rehabilitation in Dimmitt, TX is seeking a friendly and reliable Dietary Aide to support daily meal preparation and service for residents. You will assist in portioning, tray assembly, and ensuring diets and menu preferences are correctly followed.

Work involves maintaining clean work areas, following safety and infection control policies, and helping with dishwashing and storage of foods and supplies. Food handler’s card is required; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Food handler’s card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks
• use portion control procedure
• assist in cleaning work areas, equipment and floors, dishes and utensils
• assist in distributing menus and checking trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy
• ensure proper storage of foods and supplies
• adhere to Standard precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Wash dishes using proper procedures and following federal and state guidelines.
