Job summary

Daleville Health & Rehabilitation Center in Daleville, VA is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals according to resident dietary plans. You will help with portion control, dining room service, and cleanliness, while collaborating with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' nutritional needs.

You’ll receive training, with shifts that may include weekends or holidays. Join a caring team where daily contributions impact residents' quality of life and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable and able to work weekends or holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards is a plus.

Daleville Health & Rehabilitation Center – Daleville, VA

Shifts Available: Full Time 11:00 am-7:00 pm & Part Time 6:00 am-2:00pm

Access to Daily Pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plans and facility menus.

• Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.

• Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays and dining room service.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with state and facility regulations.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment following safe food-handling procedures.

• Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed.

• Work collaboratively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality setting preferred (but not required — we’ll train the right person!).

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.

• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and infection control standards is a plus.
