We are looking for an outgoing, team-player who enjoys cooking and interacting with others. Clara Barton Hospital is an acute care facility licensed for 25 beds. The Dietary Department is responsible to provide meals in a clean, pleasant atmosphere for patients, family members, staff and medical personnel.
Requires full range of motion including; balancing, fingering, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, lifting, repetitive motion. Essential sensory and communicative activities include feeling, seeing, speaking, hearing, smelling and tasting. Ability to lift small kitchen equipment as needed. Standing and walking for extensive periods are required. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand, lift moderate weights, pull and push items. Normal corrected vision and hearing is required. Must have ability to work under stressful conditions and have the ability to work irregular hours. Must work under conditions of sudden changes in temperatures when entering refrigerated areas or working around serving counters and cooking equipment.
Frequent contact with patients, physician, nursing staff, families of patients, office personnel and other CBH staff members.
Individuals in this position will be exposed to the following environment" environmental conditions when performing duties: inside and outside environmental conditions such as chemical hazards, respiratory hazards and extreme cold in temperature when entering refrigerated areas. Subject to burns from hot foods and utensils, cuts from knives, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors.
