Job summary

Valley Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team. The role supports nutritious meals and compassionate service for residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, following diet orders, maintaining cleanliness, and working with dining staff to ensure timely meal delivery. Flexible full-/part-time schedules may be available to support resident care.

Qualifications

• Experience in food-service, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals, beverages, and snacks.
• Set up and deliver resident meal trays accurately and on time.
• Follow resident diet orders, portion guidelines, and food-allergy precautions.
• Collect meal trays and clean dining and kitchen areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and food-service equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Stock food, supplies, and disposable items as needed.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, infection-control, and facility procedures.
• Communicate resident meal concerns or preferences to the appropriate team member.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, visitors, and staff.
• Complete other dietary duties as assigned
