Job summary

Westbury Center of Conyers for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare meals for medical patients and the elderly, deliver meals, and assist kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace. The role supports dietary requirements and collaborates with healthcare professionals to promote residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking meals for medical patients or elderly populations.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow specific dietary requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures.
• Serve meals and ensure food safety/hygiene standards are maintained.
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
• Stay current on facility procedures and state regulations.
• Set up and clean dining areas and assist with kitchen maintenance.
• Assist with nutrition education programs.
• Support menu planning with Chefs, Dietitians, and Doctors.
• Track expenses related to meals and supplies.

Dietary Aide Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for cooking meals for medical patients and older people. The Dietary Aide helps patients fulfill specific dietary requirements to promote their health and well-being. The duties include preparing and cooking food dishes, delivering food to patients, and assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace.

Dietary Aide Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures
• Serving meals, ensuring food safety, and hygiene procedures are always followed.
• Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
• Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations
• Setting up and taking down dining areas, assisting with kitchen maintenance, and general cleaning
• Assisting with educational programs on nutrition
• Planning menus alongside Chefs, Dietitians, and Doctors
• Tracking expenses
