Covenant Village Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation and service in a healthcare setting. You will follow dietary plans, prepare trays, and ensure meals are served with care and in compliance with safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. Prior food service or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to follow dietary guidelines and meal plans.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and service according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals to residents/patients and present food neatly.
• Prepare food trays and deliver to rooms, following diets or restrictions.
• Follow resident dietary plans including diabetic, low-sodium, gluten-free diets.
• Ensure proper portion control and adherence to dietary guidelines.
• Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Sanitize food prep areas and surfaces before/after meals; follow storage and labeling rules.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies; monitor shortages.
• Interact courteously with residents, patients, and staff; assist with dining setup and cleanup.
• Communicate dietary needs to staff and healthcare providers as needed.

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to residents or patients in a healthcare or long-term care facility. This role involves supporting the dietary team in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment while ensuring that meals meet the dietary needs of individuals.
