Job summary

Haven of Bridgeport is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support residents’ dining needs. This part-time role emphasizes nutritious, appealing meals and a warm dining environment.

You will work with a culinary team to deliver meals, assist with service, and ensure portions follow guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized area. Weekend availability is required, with opportunities for daily pay and perks.

Qualifications

• Availability to work weekends and some holidays
• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift at least 25 lbs., and carry items a minimum of 50 feet
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are nutritious, palatable, and visually appealing
• Assist with meal service in a timely and organized manner
• Follow portion control procedures and dietary guidelines
• Perform daily cleaning duties in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas to enhance the mealtime experience
• Prepare and deliver snacks and supplemental dietary items as needed
