Job summary

Isles of Boynton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. You will assist with meal service, prepare resident trays, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment.

Part-time role with a shift from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, capable of following dietary requirements, and works well as part of a team to support resident nutrition and comfort.

Qualifications

• Reading and following written and verbal instructions.
• Follow individualized dietary and meal requirements accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with residents.
• Experience in nursing homes or healthcare dietary environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and set up resident meal trays according to individualized diets and meal tickets.
• Ensure meals are delivered to residents accurately, promptly, and courteously.
• Assist with meal service and dining room setup and cleanup.
• Retrieve meal trays and properly break down trays after meals.
• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
• Perform trash removal, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and other cleaning duties.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and facility policies.
• Assist with food preparation and service for special events and resident activities.
• Properly handle food, dishes, utensils, and dietary equipment.
• Maintain dietary supplies and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other departments to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, healthcare, hospital, restaurant, or food service environment preferred.


• Long-term care or healthcare dietary experience is a plus, but not required.


• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.


• Ability to follow individualized dietary and meal requirements accurately.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation.


• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.


• Must demonstrate a respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with residents.
