Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare in Bay City, TX is looking for a full-time dietary aide to support meal service. Shifts run 5:30am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–8:00pm. You will set up dining areas, prepare meals under supervision, deliver dishes, and maintain cleanliness and order across dining and kitchen spaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong reading/writing skills, and customer service experience. A Food Handler certification is preferred to meet state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Food Handler certification pursuant to state requirements (ServeSafe preferred).
• Customer service experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under the dietary manager's and cook's direction.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, dishes, trash, etc.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory of food and supplies as directed.
• Ensure meals are provided to residents per orders or diet instructions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors.

Shift: Any (Shifts: 5:30am–1:00pm and 1:00pm–8:00pm).

Job Duties

• Set up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under the direction of dietary manager and cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, dishes, trash, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment.
• Clean other others of facility as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor, food, beverage, and equipment/supplies inventory as directed.
• Ensure that food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructions.
• Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors.
