Job summary

Heritage Villa is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support resident meals and diet services. You will prepare trays, deliver items to units, and help maintain a clean kitchen and dining environment.

The role requires strong English communication and professional conduct, with confidentiality and ethical practices emphasized. We offer competitive pay, PTO after 30 days, holiday premium pay, education reimbursement up to $5,000/year, take-home pay options, a 401(k) with company match after one

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience is preferred.
• Candidate must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English Language.
• Professional demeanor and good communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical practices.
• Strong relationship management and privacy respect.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units and return carts to kitchen.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand and dispose of trash and garbage properly.
• Maintain clean storage and walk-in areas; assist in basic food prep.
• Observe infection prevention practices and participate in improvement activities.

Essential Functions of Dietary Aide:

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand. Example - Pots, pans, knives.
• Dispose of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.
• Put clean dishes and utensils away
• Mop floors as scheduled and as necessary.
• Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas. Maintain dry storage areas by logging temperatures daily and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor
• Maintain good working relationship within the department and with other departments.
• Treat residents and guest with respect and dignity.
• Always observe infection prevention and control practices.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
