The Pavilion at Kenton in Covington, KY is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions under the guidance of the Dietitian/Director of Food Services.

The role involves serving meals, preparing snacks, cleaning duties, and following established food policies, with emphasis on safety and portion control.

High school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass a background check are required. This position offers both full-time and part-time hours with negotiable salary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The dietary aide works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned; ensures food procedures follow established policies.
• Aids service and delivery of food trays to designated areas and assists with kitchen cleaning per protocols.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
• Serves meals per established portion-control procedures.
• Serves meals that are appetizing and on time.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties, including tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Washes utensils, dishes and cooking items per policies.
• Carries out garbage and keeps the work area clean and hazard-free.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts and dining room as instructed.
• Collects and distributes menus as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• The dietary aide works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.

• Performs other duties, as assigned. Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

• The dietary aide assists with the service and delivery of food trays to designated areas, cleaning of the kitchen per established protocols, and proper washing and cleaning of food utensils and dishes.

• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.

• Serves meals in accordance to established portion control procedures.

• Serves meals that are appetizing and palatable in appearance. Serves meals as necessary and on a timely basis.

• Assists in daily cleaning duties as assigned to include work tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers in accordance to established policies and procedures.

• Sweep and mops floors as directed.

• Washes and cleans utensils, dishes and cooking items according to established policies and procedures.

• Carries out garbage and keeps the work area clean, dry and free of hazards.

• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.

• Collects and distributes menus as instructed.
