Job description

Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas, is a respected provider of mental health services for adolescents, adults, and seniors of all genders. Our hospital, located in the Walnut Creek area of north Austin, serves individuals struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns. We also treat individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis and co-occurring substance use disorder. Our inpatient programs are tailored for adults and seniors, while outpatient programs are available separately for adolescents and adults.

We are currently hiring Dietary Aides for the following shifts:

• Tu/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
• Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
• PRN (16-19 hours per week, any day/shift availability)

Our Dietary Aides are responsible for routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods within the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform routine tasks related to cleanup and sanitation of kitchen, dining, or serving areas.
• Properly prepare, serve, and store food according to facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Utilize appropriate service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
• Understand and apply sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu and special diet compliance, reporting any dietary concerns or non-compliance to the dietitian, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, as required by state and facility.
