Job summary

Augusta, ME affiliate of National Health Care Associates is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents' dietary needs through meal prep, serving, and maintaining a clean dining environment. The role directly impacts residents' quality of life and offers meaningful, community-focused work.

You will assist with meals, follow dietary requirements, and work with the dietary team to accommodate special needs, while delivering compassionate service to residents during meals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary or food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals following specified menus and dietary requirements
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of meals
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas; assist in stocking and organizing food and supplies
• Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs
• Provide friendly and attentive service to residents during meal times
