Job summary

Grays Harbor Health and Rehab in Aberdeen is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic Dietary Aide/Dishwasher to join our outstanding team. The role offers a wage of $17.80–$18.16 per hour with 24–29 hours per week and part-time eligibility for benefits.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, food prep, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen/dining areas. Candidates must have a Food Handler’s permit/ServeSafe, be able to read/write English, relate well to residents, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s permit/ServeSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must be able to relate positively and work cooperatively with residents, families and other employees.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in washing and sanitizing dishes.
• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator is heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure appropriate serving utensils are used; ensure temperatures are within standards (all temperatures are logged and reviewed prior to tray-line).
• During tray line, ensure that trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation, discuss with the supervisor.

**Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.**
