Job summary

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton is hiring a Diet Technician to join our care team. This full-time role features a 6a-2p schedule with weekly pay at $17 per hour, and focuses on providing nutritional guidance tailored to resident needs and dietary modifications.

As a Diet Tech, you will identify dietary needs, assist with menu selections, update meal tickets, and deliver meals at point-of-service. Equal opportunity employer; vaccination policies apply.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.

As a Diet Tech, you provide nutritional guidance in terms of resident needs, preferences, and individual dietary modifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify residents' dietary needs and preferences.

• Assist residents with selective menu process.

• Update meal tickets based on preference, menu selections, and diet/supplement orders.

• Must be able to provide point-of-service meal delivery.

• Other duties assigned as necessary.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
