Job summary

Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring Dietary Aides to join our care team. No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Weekly pay is $16 per hour, with shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

or 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As a Dietary Aide, you will follow therapeutic diet cards, ensure proper serving temperatures, assist the cook, deliver meals on time, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas. We value empathy and teamwork in serving our residents.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to follow oral and written communication.
• Maintain sanitation and safe storage of dining areas.
• Be patient, tactful, and respectful with residents and staff.
• Willing to learn and adopt new dietary practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure proper serving temperature of food and beverages.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and serving.
• Assure meals are delivered on time and presented attractively.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of dining areas and stations.
• Support dining director with daily tasks as assigned.

We are hiring Dietary Aides to join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

No experience is necessary. On-the-job training provided. Weekly pay at $16 an hour. 6:45a-2:45p and 4p-8p shifts open.

As a Dietary Aide, your duties and responsibilities include:

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.

• Ensure proper serving temperature of the food and beverages.

• Assure delivery on a timely basis.

• Maintains visual appeal of the food and emphasis on the use of garnishes.

• Adhere to daily nourishment list and stock nourishment stations.

• Assist the cook in monitoring of meal serving times.

• Adhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedure.

• Other duties assigned by the dining director.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must be able to follow oral and written communication.

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the dining service areas; must perform regular inspections of dietary services areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
