Setting:

135-bed nursing home

Schedule:

Part time; weekdays and weekends sometimes

Pay Range:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Diet Technician (Part-Time) to join our Nutrition Team at an acute care medical center in City, State.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
• Help patients complete menu selections
• Follow all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accreditation agencies, while maintaining confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and quality assurance/performance improvement programs

Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science (required)
• One (1) year of hospital experience (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
