Job summary

Norwood Towers in the United States is seeking a Diet Tech to support clinical nutrition services and deliver personalized dietary care to residents this fall.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical nutrition experience in long‑term care, post‑acute rehab, or hospital setting preferred.
• ACEND‑accredited associate degree in Dietetics required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessments: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and risk screenings for residents upon admission and during stay.
• Personalized Care Plans: Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized nutrition interventions, therapeutic diets, tube feedings, and wound‑healing meal plans.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with Nursing, Speech Therapy, Physicians, and Culinary Services to ensure holistic resident care and participate in care plan meetings.
• Quality & Compliance: Maintain compliance with state/federal healthcare regulations and sanitation guidelines, participating in QAPI initiatives.
• Resident Connection: Educate residents and families on therapeutic diets and gather preferences to enhance dining satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Assessments: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and risk screenings for residents upon admission and routinely throughout their stay.
• Personalized Care Plans: Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized nutrition interventions, therapeutic diets, tube feedings, and wound-healing meal plans.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Nursing, Speech Therapy, Physicians, and Culinary Services to ensure holistic resident care and attendance at care plan meetings.
• Quality & Compliance: Maintain full compliance with state/federal healthcare regulations and sanitation guidelines, participating in facility quality assurance (QAPI) initiatives.
• Resident Connection: Educate residents and families on therapeutic diets and gather preferences to enhance dining satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of clinical nutrition experience in long‑term care, post‑acute rehab, or hospital setting preferred.
• Two‑year associate degree program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
