Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Diet Order Processor in Chicago, IL. You will manage patient menus, enter selections into CBORD, and coordinate with the Nutrition Services team to ensure accurate meal service for patients across all ages.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and may include preferred experience in food service or data processing. This is a full-time position with a daytime shift and involves working with the Central Kitchen and Diet Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Food Service experience and/or data processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works as a Diet Order Processor: runs individualized patient menus and reports for Central Kitchen and Clinical Nutrition.
• Calls patients to obtain meal selections and processes menus for patient satisfaction.
• Enters patient menu selections into CBORD.
• Operates and maintains computer hardware; ensures daily supplies are available.
• Modifies menus for pediatric to geriatric patients and completes diet changes as needed.
• Transcribes, initiates and discontinues formulary orders; manages inventory.
• Assists with orientation and training of new employees and participates in quality improvement tasks.
