Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Nutrition Services Clerk to process diet orders and update patient information in the Nutrition Services Systems. You will interact with patients, families, and nursing staff to ensure accurate meal service and timely delivery of trays, while supporting daily office operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in clerical work, data entry, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Basic clerical and data entry experience.
• Preferred: Customer service or call center experience.

Responsibilities

• Process diet orders and update patient information in Nutrition Services Systems appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Explain procedures for ordering meals to patients and families, and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Deliver trays to patients and ensure timely feeding as directed by Nutrition Leadership.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties in the diet office, including supplies and birthday items.
• Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally; escalate as needed.
