Job Opening: Part-Time Diet Clerk at Morrison Healthcare

We are hiring immediately for a part-time DIET CLERK position at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, located at 1000 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA 90502. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time, with varying days and hours, including AM and PM shifts. Some weekends included. More details available during the interview.

Requirements: Previous diet clerk experience is preferred but not required.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Distribute and collect menus.
  2. Assist patients with menu selections in accordance with prescribed diets.
  3. Offer menu alternatives considering allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
  4. Plan and prepare regular and modified menus based on current diet guidelines.
  5. Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formulas accurately and timely.
  6. Manage human/donor milk or infant formula as assigned.
  7. Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and patient rights.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and complete all documentation.
  9. Adhere to infection control policies.
  10. Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
