Job summary

Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Newburyport, Massachusetts seeks a Part-Time Diet Aide to support residents' nutrition and dining experiences. You will work with the dietary team to prepare, portion, and serve meals and nourishments in a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, portions, and serves food items, beverages, and desserts for meal service according to menu and prescribed therapeutic diets in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Assists with preparation and production of vending par levels (entrees, snacks, beverages, and desserts).
• Prepares and delivers nourishments at appropriate times according to procedure in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Sets up trays and/or place settings according to prescribed therapeutic diets according to procedure in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Assists with meal set up at mealtime according to the diet card, considering therapeutic diets, food preferences, and consistencies to meet each resident's individual dietary needs.
