Job summary

Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Part-Time Diet Aide for the PM shift to support residents’ nutrition and dining experiences. You will work with the dietary team to ensure safe, appealing meals and adherence to prescribed therapeutic diets.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate and a part-time schedule with opportunities for advancement. Prior experience is helpful but not required; familiarity with therapeutic diets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, portions, and serves food items, beverages, and desserts for meal service according to menu and prescribed therapeutic diets in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Assists with preparation and production of vending par levels (entrees, snacks, beverages, and desserts).
• Prepares and delivers nourishments at appropriate times according to procedure in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Sets up trays and/or place settings according to prescribed therapeutic diets according to procedure in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Assists with meal set up at mealtime according to the diet card, considering therapeutic diets, food preferences, and consistencies to meet each resident's individual dietary needs.
