Clean Harbors in Springfield, MO is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to repair and perform preventative maintenance on our fleet, ensuring safety and reliability. The role requires basic tools and prior heavy truck experience to support DOT inspections and routine service tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years experience with heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT and facility requirements.
• Support housekeeping and site maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
