Nbutexas is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Truck & Trailer Technician in Indiana to keep trucks, trailers, and equipment operating safely. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, and repairs while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Two years of truck, trailer, diesel, or related mechanical experience.
• General knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair basic engine components
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Change tires, adjust brakes, and repair lighting systems
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records
• Operate forklifts and move trucks and trailers
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Recommend equipment, system, and process improvements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow OSHA guidelines and established industrial safety procedures
• Assist with other maintenance responsibilities as assigned
