Job summary

Michigan Kenworth Metro Detroit is seeking entry level and experienced diesel truck mechanics for our Belleville, MI facility. You will repair, troubleshoot, and maintain Class 8 trucks, joining a growing dealer group with strong career potential.

The role emphasizes diagnostic work, customer interaction, and accurate repair documentation, with excellent benefits and a progressive work environment.

Qualifications

• Formal technical degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Personal tool inventory to complete duties is preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Valid CDL.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders, manuals, and schematics.
• Proficiency with Windows/computer basics.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to work 8–10 hour days with overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds intermittently.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles.
• Troubleshoots electrical, drive train, HVAC, brakes, engines, and suspension; identifies repairs and performs actions.
• Writes clear repair descriptions on repair orders with causes and procedures.
