Hiland Dairy Foods Company is seeking an experienced full-time Garage Mechanic for our Kansas City, MO location. The role runs on the first shift, Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with responsibilities for diesel tractor/trailer maintenance and repairs in-shop and occasional field work.

Formación

• 3+ years' experience in maintenance and repair.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must supply own tools up to 1".
• Valid license; Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass drug test, physical and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair tractors, trailers and equipment in the shop (occasional field work).
• Preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on light and heavy trucks.
• Perform DOT inspections/certifications.
• Maintain vehicle records.
• Tires, brakes, suspension and electrical repairs.
• Repair knowledge of diesel and gas engines.
• Welding and fabrication.
