Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in the United States seeks a skilled diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company-owned or leased heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including rolling stock, to ensure safe operation.

Starting pay ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, with additional pay based on experience, certifications and skill level. ASE testing is paid for, with a .25 bump per T Series ASE cert.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical truck components.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
