Job summary

French Ellison Truck Center in Laredo, TX is seeking entry-level and experienced diesel truck mechanics. You will perform maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, using diagnostic equipment and following repair orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3-5 years diesel experience for experienced technicians, and a tool inventory. Excellent benefits are offered; overtime may be required in a growing dealer group.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical degree/certificate preferred.
• Experienced technicians should have 3-5 years of diesel experience.
• Personal tool inventory required to perform duties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a CDL.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders, manuals, schematics, and bulletins.
• Proficient with computer keyboard and Windows basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Troubleshoot electrical, drive train, HVAC, brakes, engine, and suspension systems.
• Document repair procedures clearly on Repair Orders.
