Job summary

PACCAR Financial is seeking a Truck Technician to join our Used Truck Center in Spartanburg, SC. You will diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair Class 6/7/8 diesel trucks while delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Requirements include a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on diesel experience, knowledge of major truck components, and a commitment to safety. A high school diploma or GED is required; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience.
• General knowledge of major truck components and systems.
• Proven track record of quality workmanship with minimal rework.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety with demonstrated shop safety protocols.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods and work under vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Work Monday through Friday during core hours.
• Perform diagnostic inspections using mechanical and software tools.
• Carry out preventative maintenance per PACCAR checklists.
• Repair truck-tractor components including brakes, lighting, and electronics.
• Complete required paperwork reflecting hours, parts, and supplies.
• Work with little supervision and in a team environment.
• Provide superior customer service to PACCAR clients.
