The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship to keep trucks in optimal condition. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, perform preventive maintenance, read manuals and schematics, and certify repairs meet DOT and FMCSR standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year diesel technician experience.
• Knowledge of engines, brakes, A/C and electrical systems.
• Must have own tools.
• CDL Class A strongly desired; MnDOT certification preferred; willing to obtain if required.
• ASE, A/C, air brake, and diesel certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks including engines, brakes, A/C and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and calibrations to locate faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance and post-repair tests.
• Maintain safe shop environment and accurate paperwork.
• Coordinate with drivers and supervisors to minimize downtime.
